CIS 2513 - Software Project Management

This course is an introduction designed for individuals who would like to learn more about Software Project Management. This course will benefit software program managers, programmers who work on software projects or anyone interested in how to put a software project together. You will be introduced to the key concepts and ideas about the planning, monitoring and control of software projects. Projects are largely about meeting objectives. Projects need to produce software that satisfies real needs. The student will learn to recognize and identify stakeholders in a project and their objectives. A successful project cannot be completed unless there is accurate information, and how this is provided will be explored. A working knowledge of programming is required.
