NUR 4775L - Practicum for Applications of Evidenced-Based Practice for BSNs I


This course is a practicum course which provides an opportunity for increasing depth and breadth of knowledge and skill in the application of evidence-based approaches to care. There will be a focus on best practice interventions and evaluation of outcomes. Activities may include experiences with a preceptor, service learning, and community based activities. The student will be provided an opportunity to select an individual area of interest to study and develop an organized plan guided by a faculty member and a preceptor. The course will culminate in a final project, presentation, or portfolio that includes the first three steps of evidence-based practice.
Prerequisites: NUR 3805, NUR 3125, NSP 3185, NUR 3164, NUR 3846 and NUR 3636C.
Corequisites: NUR 4775.
