Associate in Science
Prepare to land your FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate by attaining this A.S. degree. Following this program, you’ll be ready and well qualified for employment right away in entry-level management positions. Become a respected, highly paid professional who can manage the complex process of maintaining aircraft for safe, smooth flying.
If you already hold an FAA A&P certificate, you have the opportunity to earn college credit by evaluation for this certificate, and then pursue an A.S. degree by satisfying the General Education and Professional Elective course requirements. This program will also meet your needs if you already have a two- or four-year degree and are seeking new employability skills.
When seeking an associate in science degree in Aviation Maintenance Management, you must complete the course requirements in both the airframe mechanic and powerplant mechanic certificates at Florida Coast Career Tech or possess a valid FAA A&P certificate, as well as 23 hours of additional required college credits.
Certification and Licensing
With the successful completion of this program, students will be prepared to take the FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) licensing examination.
Accreditation
The program complies with Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Part 147 and is FAA certified.
