REA 0007 - Reading Comprehension

This fundamental reading course develops vocabulary, comprehension, learning strategies and study skills presented through a wide range of interdisciplinary readings. The course involves a variety of teaching and learning methods, including lab-enhanced learning, lecture, discussion, cooperative learning, and others. This course does not apply toward the associates degree.

Prerequisites: Appropriate score on a college placement test.
Credit Hours:4.
Contact Hours: 8 contact hours: Lab-based learning, lecture, discussion, cooperative learning and other relevant instructional methods.
Student Advising Notes – REA 0007 (Reading Comprehension) will replace REA 0006 (Basic Reading Skills) and REA 0008 (Reading Skills).
